Will Intel’s First Smartphone Be A Success?

Intel plans to galvanize the smartphone community by releasing its first smartphone sometime this week. The company’s CEO Paul Otellini announced today that the device will be “the first Intel architecture-based smartphone.”

At the CES keynote in January, it was made clear that Lenovo would be the first smartphone to use Intel chips. Also at the event, Motorola Mobility CEO Sanjay Jha made public a “multiyear, multi-device partnership” with Intel.

The phone’s realease is a first for the company. It will be exciting to cover Intels foray into the smartphone marketplace; it could very well be the company’s future.
