Linkedin Releases iPad App: Elegant And Effortless

To the delight of many patient Linkedin users, the company has finally released an app for the iPad.

.

The iPad app is cleverly designed. Joff Redfern–Linkedin’s head of mobile products explains that most people were using the Linkedin web service on their iPads in the early morning and in the evening from 7 to 11 PM. With this information, the company designed an iPad app specifically for you to start and end your day with.

A Linkedin iPad app comes as no surprise because last year the company put out both Android and iPhone apps for smartphone users. Linkedin CEO Jeff Weiner has also talked about pushing Linkedin more into mobile. To date, 22 percent of users who visit the site do so with their smartphones.

Elegantly designed, the iPad app allows you to view updates and your connections’ recent activities all from the home page. You can also see who has recently viewed your profile, edit your own profile, send and receive messages, and scan through a genreal news section.

New with the iPad app is a feature that lets you sync your calendar information with your profile. This can come in handy before a meeting when you want to refresh. It will prepare contact info for you based on who your seeing at a meeting. This feature is also conveniently available for the smartphones.

Check out the iPad app today via the iTunes store.
